me: the only way i would have a kid is if i had a rescue, like a mexican orphan.
rooms: a rescue? it's not like adopting a dog!
me: oh i know, i want to rescue a dog, too. so, like, a rescue dog and a rescue human.
rooms: so you basically want to skip the puppy phase on both?
me: yes!
rooms: i want a rescue human too...but also some originals.
